There are many ways to get your home’s exterior clean, but the fastest and easiest is with Desert Heat’s house washing service. Trying to wash your own home can produce mixed results. From disappointing store-bought kits that don’t really do anything but spray all the cleaner out at once, to trying to figure out how to use a pressure washer (or worse using it incorrectly and damaging your home). There’s also the risk of getting water in places it shouldn’t go, like behind your siding, or into window frames, which can introduce the possibility of mold growing. To avoid such unnecessary risks, hire Desert Heat Window Washing for your house washing needs. At Desert Heat Window Washing, we understand not all types of houses should be washed the same way. Cleaning things like stucco is very different from cleaning something like shake or vinyl. Desert Heat Window Washing knows to apply different cleaning techniques to every surface, and our technicians
What is Pressure Washing?
Just as the name implies, pressure washing is the type of washing which involves the use of high pressure in getting rid of dirt, moss, mildew, and other biological elements on the exterior surfaces. While this method is highly effective at removing deep dirt and stains from surfaces like concrete, it is generally unsuitable for house washing.
So, What is Soft Washing?
Unlike pressure washing, low pressure is applied here with a gentle detergent to break down and lift away dirt and other contaminants. And because little pressure will be required, a higher amount of water and chemicals are used to get rid of dirt and stains. This type of washing is safe for surfaces that could be damaged by excessive pressure (like vinyl, shake, aging painted surfaces, etc.). Soft washing allows Desert Heat Window Washing to wash surfaces effectively without causing any damage to them. Areas like roofs, siding, and other more fragile surfaces are great candidates for soft house washing techniques. Soft washing also means that we can spray things from far away, and can often complete our projects without ever having to climb a ladder. With the typical pressure washing project, the nozzle is held close to the cleaning surface to achieve the maximum amount of pressure, whereas with soft washing, we rely on the gentle cleaning agents to break up the stains, and then the soft rinse washes it all away at the end.
How Often Should I Have My House Washed?
This really depends on where you live, but many customers prefer to have their houses washed in the spring so that they’re clean all summer. If you live in an area where dust gets kicked up a lot, or if you have lots of shade, you may notice dirt or moss on the shady side of your home, and you might benefit from more frequent cleanings. Another thing to think about is if you’re selling your home, a house wash is a great way to boost your curb appeal.
